Aug 19., 4 geocachers from Norway will try finding two caches in 15 countries within 24 hours. The idea was born partly due to a Challenge Cache in our vicinity that none of us was qualified for, and partly as 'something to do' after visiting the first Giga-event ever in Munich. It seemed easy to plan at that stage as there is a lot of caches along the road, but it have really taken time to plan the preferred route, and having some backup routes available if something unforeseen happen. All in all, we're left with around 80 caches that are on the A, B, C, etc. list, complete with hints, spoilers, driving directions, logs and you name it. And of course, all border crossings needs to go smooth to not slow us down too much.

Traveling estimates from Google Maps claims that we will not make it, but; Hey, Bring it On! And maybe we even will meet some of the Cache Owners or other cachers along the road? We will probably not stop for a chat  ;-)

WE MADE IT !!!

Some minor changes to the caches to be found was done, and underway we had 4 DNF's that forced us to move on and choose one of the backup caches we had. There was 4 backup caches picked out for each country, and in Lichtenstein we actually needed to go through all until we at the last outpost @ the border to Austria found backup cache #4!

Heavy traffic jam in Italy after Brunneck killed almost all our 'extra' time, and an incident on the highway in Slovenia outside Vodice called for change of route towards the cache. Luckily that back way was almost as fast as taking the highway.
